Russia and Belarus develop agricultural cooperation

The working visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Andrey Razin to the Republic of Belarus is devoted to the issues of strengthening partnership in the agro-industrial complex. Today, representatives of the department took part in the grand opening of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week and the 32nd international specialized exhibition Belagro-2022, where they got acquainted with the achievements in agriculture and exchanged experience with Belarusian colleagues.

The exhibition “Belagro-2022” traditionally widely presents crop and livestock products, modern equipment for processing, packaging and storage, veterinary drugs, plant protection products, as well as a variety of agricultural machinery. More than 400 companies from various countries, including the largest Russian manufacturers, take part in it. On the sidelines of the exhibition, Andrei Razin discussed with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Igor Brylo the prospects for cooperation between the countries in the development of mutual trade and ensuring food security of the Union State.

The delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture also visited the Minsk Tractor Plant, where they got acquainted with the first Belarusian unmanned tractor. Tomorrow, representatives of the department will get acquainted with the work of the robotic dairy farm of MRUE “APK Zhdanovichi” named after. Frunze” and the enterprise “August-Bel”, which produces chemical plant protection products, and will also examine the rapeseed crops at the Dzerzhinsky agricultural complex.
