Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin made a presentation at the IV annual strategic session: “Russian agricultural exports 2022-2023: trends, challenges and new opportunities.”

In his speech, he stressed that Russia has confirmed its status as a reliable supplier of agricultural products and a guarantor of food security for the states of Asia, Africa and the Middle East. So, in 2022, exports grew by 12%. In particular, the products of the oil and fat industry increased by 26%, meat and dairy – by 16%, grain – by 14%.

To support the financial stability of agro-industrial enterprises, lending volumes were significantly increased this year, penalties were lifted and the possibility of prolonging export indicators for 24 months under concessional lending and capex programs was provided.

Also in the current year, the expansion of the network of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia abroad continued. To date, 39 agricultural attachments have already been sent to 38 countries. With their active participation, access was opened to the markets of 10 countries for 20 types of products – dairy, meat, fish, and confectionery. The number of business missions increased – 7 business missions were carried out: to the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Armenia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.

In conclusion, Sergey Levin noted that Russian agricultural exports rest on a solid foundation, and Russian food is in demand in the world.
