В ЕАЭС продлили действие порога беспошлинного ввоза товаров физлицами

The Federal Customs Service of Russia informs about the extension of the validity period of the temporary threshold for duty-free importation of goods for personal use into the EAEU established for individuals. The corresponding decision was made on September 27 at a meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

This measure will be in effect until April 1, 2024. Purchased goods in the amount of up to 1 thousand euros and weighing up to 31 kg, transported by carriers or by mail, as well as imported by baggage by all modes of transport, except air, or on foot, will not be subject to duty.

If the established norms are exceeded, individuals will be required to pay a fee of 15% of the cost, but not less than 2 euros per 1 kg in excess for goods transported by the carrier or in mail, and 30% of the cost, but not less than 4 euros per 1 kg for goods imported by baggage.

The threshold for duty-free import of goods to the EAEU was raised in March 2022 in order to preserve citizens’ access to familiar goods in the face of sanctions pressure from unfriendly states.
