A large-scale “Made in Russia” festival and fair will be held in China on the eve of the Chinese New Year
25.12.2023 г.

In China, in Liaoning Province, on the eve of the Chinese New Year, from January 27 to February 4, 2024, the first Made in Russia festival-fair will be held, which will introduce residents of the province to Russian products and culture. This was stated by Veronika Nikishina, Director General of the Russian Export Center in Beijing during a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Russia and China.

The festival-fair will be organized by the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF) with the support of the Government of Russia and the People’s Government of Liaoning Province, which historically has close ties with Russia and high public interest in both Russian culture and Russian products. Similar events to promote Russian exports will also be held in other Chinese provinces in the future.

More than 1,000 Russian goods will be presented at the fair. It is planned that about 3 million people will attend the event during the week.

“The promotion of Russian exports under the brand “Made in Russia” is not limited to goods alone. Our traditions, culture, and sports all shape the image of Russia and influence loyalty to our brands and products. The festival-fair will combine all these directions. There will be a rich program — from tastings and targeted b2b meetings to hockey matches and concerts,” said Veronika Nikishina, CEO of the Russian Export Center.

In particular, within the framework of the festival-fair in the cities of Shenyang and Dalian, there will be a tasting show from Russian food producers, performances by musical and ballet groups from Russia, master classes in folk arts for children and adults and other events that will interest and involve visitors in the work of the fair and increase awareness of products under the brand “Made in Russia.”

It will also be possible to buy Russian products on electronic trading platforms in China. The range of goods from Russia, which are available on Chinese marketplaces, already has several thousand positions in national stores under the brand “Made in Russia”.
