Altai customs confiscated more than 2 thousand illegal vapes

Employees of the Altai customs revealed in the Barnaul store more than 2.1 thousand units of electronic cigarettes, about 18 thousand vials of vaping liquid and 187 packs of hookah tobacco without mandatory labeling with a DataMatrix code.

Illegal products were discovered as part of the control over the import and turnover of goods on the domestic market together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Altai Territory.

Goods sold in violation of Russian law were seized by the police for making a procedural decision.

It should be noted that since the beginning of 2024, customs officers have identified more than 20 thousand packs of unmarked cigarettes, 3 thousand electronic nicotine delivery systems, more than 19 thousand vials of vaping liquid, 123 pieces of chewing nicotine-containing mixture in the domestic market of the Altai Territory.
