
The trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 2.1% from January to November 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to $222.77 billion. This is evidenced by data published by the General Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
Thus, China imported goods worth $104.19 billion (an increase of 4% compared to 2023) and imported goods from Russia worth $118.57 billion (an increase of 0.4%).
The main part of Russian exports is accounted for by energy resources – oil, natural gas and coal. Other important areas of supply from Russia to China include metals, timber, seafood and agricultural products. China exports cars, tractors, computers, smartphones, industrial and specialized equipment, toys, shoes, air conditioners and computers to the Russian Federation.
Trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.3% in 2022, to $190 billion. In 2023, it reached a record high of $240.11 billion, an increase of 26.3%.
