Exporters began to apply for participation in international exhibitions more often after the introduction of restrictions

“Against the backdrop of a global restructuring of geography, logistics and partnerships, Russian exporters have begun to apply more often to participate in international exhibitions and business missions on the My Export digital platform (One Window IS).” – the press service of the Russian Export Center reports.

The number of applications from companies for state support under the state program for co-financing participation in such events in March 2022 increased by 20% compared to January. Registration is now open on the platform for more than 60 events to be held in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, as well as for international events in Russia.

According to Aleksey Mikhailik, Vice President for the implementation of the One Window project, the growing interest in international congress and exhibition events suggests that, despite restrictions in foreign trade, Russian companies are ready to look for new partners and expand their export geography.

“We always take into account changes in the situation in Russia and the world and try to quickly adapt to the needs of exporters. Our task is to offer our users exactly what they need right now. We saw a clear request to digitalize the receipt of some documents and state support measures, which, in the face of restrictions on foreign trade, turned out to be vital for business. Soon, new services will appear on the platform for obtaining permits, including those required for the export of goods under Government Decrees No. 311 and No. 312, and state support measures,” said Alexey Mikhailik.
