Russia plans to increase the capacity on the border with China seven times

This will happen by 2030, said First Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Valentin Ivanov.

By 2030, Russia plans to increase the capacity of automobile checkpoints on the border with China by 7 times compared to 2021. This follows from the presentation of the First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Valentin Ivanov, presented at the International Customs Forum.

The capacity on the border with Azerbaijan will increase 6.5 times relative to 2021, 8 times with Mongolia, and 2 times with Kazakhstan.

At the same time, in relation to 2023, the passage of vehicles on the border with China will increase by 3.3 times (+2,180 vehicles per day), with Azerbaijan by 2.3 times (+1,100), with Kazakhstan by 1.8 times (+4,100), with Mongolia by 4.7 times (+500).

As specified in the presentation of the Deputy minister, “the increase in capacity and timing are synchronized with neighboring countries.”
